ElderStroke
Your loved one has been hospitalized for a stroke, and now they're ready to begin rehabilitation. What's next? At RiverRidge, we've developed a Stroke Recovery Program focusing on individual therapy that produces genuine gains, so your loved one can return home more quickly and confidently.

Rehabilitation following stroke focuses on restoring regular living skills, sometimes as basic as swallowing. Clients in the Stroke Recovery Program receive physical therapy, speech/language therapy, and occupational therapy from our own professional therapeutic staff. The Stroke Recovery Program has an expert doctor, a physiatrist who specializes in the link between brain and muscle coordination, available to assess clients and develop personalized rehabilitation.

The Stroke Recovery Program takes advantage of the specialized brain injury expertise developed for treating traumatic brain injury, but clients live during their stay in a separate wing called Sea Road, with individual phones and televisions, and a private living room and dining room.
